Supervision
After qualifying as a therapist in 2014, alongside my teaching, I wanted to be able to support other counsellors with their client work and development.
I qualified as a supervisor in 2018, and since then, I have been supervising other qualified therapists in their clinical work and professional development.
Many of my supervisees are newly qualified therapists. I believe it is especially important for those who have recently completed their therapy training to have a warm and nurturing space from which to grow and develop.
Supervision FAQs
How do you work as a Supervisor?
My therapy and supervision training, as well as my own client work, is very much grounded in the person-centred approach. As a supervisor, I believe that a co-created and empathic space is the foundation for supervisee-led exploration of their practice.
I do offer feedback and gentle challenge, and it comes from a place of curiosity in order to nurture your growth and development as a therapist.
How long is supervision for?
I offer an initial half hour consultation free of charge to see if we both feel we could work together. After that, sessions are usually held monthly, for 1.5 hours, and we will continually review our supervisory relationship.
We will also formally review how supervision is going every six months.
Where will supervision take place?
I currently hold all supervision sessions online, usually on Zoom.
How much does it cost?
Supervision costs £60 per 1.5 hour session.
